FAQ
Why isn't Cache free?
Cache is built by an independent developer with no other funding sources. Unlike mainstream alternatives, I don't harvest your data, sell to data brokers, or show advertisements. I collect zero information about you or your notes. By upgrading, you directly support continued development and improvements to the app.
Are payments cross-platform?
Yes. Your license is stored in your notes repository and synced via git. Upgrade once, and all your devices receive it automatically. If you change git providers, Cache will reassign your license. No accounts required.
What information is captured during payment?
Cache only stores a hash of your repository's git remote URL to verify your subscription. (This hash is irreversible, it identifies your subscription without revealing any information.) No other identifiable information is captured by us. The payment provider (Stripe, Apple App Store, Google Play) will collect the information required to process your payment according to their privacy policies.
